If there is one thing we can be sure of, it’s that we all face challenging times.  While some are given a golden parachute, others get a pink slip.  Health, work, money, family, relocation,  all these changes create obstacles as well as opportunities. Karen is an author, speaker and consultant specializing in Marketing, PR and Fundraising for Non-profit Organizations. In 1995, she founded and managed a project that has provided nearly 4.5 million hand-made security blankets to seriously ill and traumatized children around the world.

For the past 25 years, Karen has been speaking to audiences large and  small about how individual effort produces big results. She uses her public platform to inspire others to fight for something larger than themselves.   Her optimistic message is simply that one person really can make a positive difference and that obstacles can be opportunity with the right perspective.  It’s often the little things that matter most.

Fanning the flames of making a difference have been a priority for Karen. Her experiences as a Firefighter, EMT, Private Healthcare Provider and People Development Specialist at the Children’s Hospitals in Parker and Denver have made improving our Healthcare System and Patient Advocacy a top priority.
