November is the month that time is taken to reflect life’s blessings. Some utilize gratitude journals, others help fill the shelves of a local food bank and still others overload tables with culinary delights, friends and family to whom they are grateful.

On Saturday, November 16, the Denver Speakers Bureau is presenting “The Attitude of Gratitude” at the Parker Library. Six of the Bureau’s distinguished speakers have graciously offered to share their thoughts and expertise on the subject at no cost to the public. The audience is welcome to attend any or all of the event and there will be samples of local products as well as door prizes.

The outstanding line up of speakers for the event include:

1:15-2pm – Marlow and Chris Felton,  “Transformation through Gratitude”

2:05-2:35- Sharon Barnes, MSSW, LCSW “How to Find Gratitude…Even in the Midst of Adversity”

2:40-3:10- Deborah Jane Wells, Life Coach,  “Changes in Gratitude, Changes in Attitude”

3:15-4:10- Doug “The Grateful Dad” Gertner- “Thanks Giving: A Business Case for Gratitude”

4:15-4:45- Author/Speaker Jan Haas- “Holding on to Light- Searching for Good in the Middle of Darkness”

This speaker series was started in September with a talk on “Parenthood”.  Audience members included Soon to Be parents, In the Thick of Things parents and The Survivors-grandparents. Subject matter experts for that event included Doug “The Grateful Dad” Gertner, Dale “Real Faith, Real Life” Skram and Mike “Leading to Greatness” Thompson.

“The Attitude of Gratitude” will be sponsored by Roundhouse Spirits. Sponsorship opportunities exist for other businesses for the 2014 series which is scheduled to be held monthly, rotating between at the Highlands Ranch, Castle Rock, Lone Tree and Parker Libraries. The Denver Speakers Bureau is open to taking its Speaker Series to Denver and further North as facilities and sponsors avail themselves.

The Denver Speakers Bureau is a community of elite speakers who share their talent to educate, entertain and inspire audiences in the Denver area and around the world. Most are from the Denver area but some hail from as far away as England and Australia. They are published authors who have lived unique lives that have availed them the opportunity to share their experiences with life and business lessons to uplift all. They are available for conferences, meetings and workshops. To see the full lineup of talent, please visit www.old.denverspeakersbureau.com or call (303) 478-6652 to learn who might be a good fit for your next event.

The next event that Denver Speakers Bureau will present is a Holiday Book Fair with local authors sharing their creative endeavors through pages and word. That will be Saturday, December 14 from 1-5pm at the Parker Library. Again, there is no cost to attendees however they are welcome to purchase and have books signed as a personalized holiday gift. This is a great way to support the “Buy Local” movement. The Parker Library is located in the heart of Parker just northwest of the intersection of Parker Road and Main Street at 10851 S. Crossroads Drive, Parker, Colorado 80134.

The Attitude of Gratitude Showcase is funded and presented by Denver Speakers Bureau and is not sponsored by Douglas County Libraries. For more information, please contact Executive Director Karen Loucks Rinedollar (303) 478-6652.
